Appendix 3 Suggestions

“Dear World Health Organisation,

I suggest that you stop bullying and browbeating ordinary people, and let them make their own choices about what they smoke, drink, and eat.

It is none of your business to try to tell people how to live their lives. Nobody elected you, and you have no right to tell anyone what to do.

Go back to doing what you should have been doing all along – treating communicable diseases – , and forget about non-communicable (i.e. imaginary) diseases.

If you can’t manage that, then I suggest that the WHO be disbanded and the people in it find themselves actual useful jobs – e.g. as bartenders, waiters, bus drivers, cleaners, receptionists, hairdressers, street sweepers, gardeners, piano-tuners, jugglers, etc.

Any of those would be much more useful than what you currently do.

I don’t pay any attention to you anyway, because I no longer believe anything you say.

Just my two cents of advice.

Now get lost.

P.S. Don’t think that simply deleting this email will make it disappear, because I’ll be posting it on my blog, where it’ll be read all over the world, and maybe even emulated, by a lot of people who are at least as sick to the back teeth of you as I am, if not a good deal more.”

Chris Snowdon has submitted an email to the WHO (appendix3@who.int) in response to the consultation process on their Non-Communicable Disease action plan (which is really just another nine yards of meddling and bullying).

I don’t usually respond to these things, but since there was still a day remaining before their consultation process ends on 1 Sep 2016, I found that my fingers had started tapping out more or less whatever came into my head:

Dear World Health Organisation,
